Back By Popular Demand! March 17, 2008 No Comments

Due to popular demand (and because it was SO much fun), Jen and I have decided to host another beginners course to photography workshop!

Here are the details;

Wednesday April 16th from 6pm-9:00pm at the Mirror Mirror Studio located downtown Grand Rapids!

You will learn to:

-Use the manual controls on your camera
-Learn how to use available light
-Pose your subjects
-Compose your shots & much more!

This is a hand’s on workshop and we’ll have a live model for the second half of the class so that you will learn how to put your knowledge to use.

There will be ample opportunity for any and all of your questions as well as an outlined curriculum with everything you need to know to start using your camera more efficiently. We hope you will leave the workshop feeling excited, exhilarated and ready to go out there and conquer the photography world!

A light dinner will be provided for you and the class will be limited to 20 participants so as to have a lot of opportunity for one-on-one learning.

The cost for the workshop is $150. We will also stick around after the workshop for anyone interested in a private session for an extra $100.

Seating is limited and will be based on a first-come, first-serve basis. Payment can be made through PayPal or by check.

We encourage all of those who are interested in learning their camera’s better to sign up. This will be fun night of learning and shooting and we couldn’t be more excited to be offering this!

3.8.08 : : Our First Ever Workshop! March 9, 2008 7 Comments

Today Jen and I conducted our first ever workshop…a class for beginners wanting to learn more about the fabulousness of photography.

I am going to admit that I was completely nervous when I arrived at the studio Saturday morning. I’m also going to snitch on Jen and let you know that she was nervous too!

But once our energetic class started walking in my nerves gave way to excitement and the day was just as I had imagined!

There was a lot of hand’s on learning with our two wonderful models who came to pose for us during the day.
Way to get into it Jenna! (Jenna was one of my brides from October. I love seeing my clients again!)
The day was so much fun and such a success that we have decided we will be offering more classes in the future! Since today’s class filled up we will be offering another Beginner’s Photography Workshop as well as adding a Flash/Lighting Class and possibly a Photoshop Class. Stay tuned!
