[Ceremony+Reception] Private Residence, Holland, MI

When I first met with Shelly and Kevin and told me the plans of their casual beach wedding overlooking Lake Michigan, I knew I was going to enjoy their day.  The morning of their wedding, the skies were blue, there was a gentle breeze and the day was just as they had described…laid back, casual, perfect.  With a ceremony on the lawn overlooking a sparkling Lake Michigan and a cocktail hour immediately following, the guests looked just as relaxed as this sweet couple. Sandmann’s was there to grill dinner and the night ended with dancing and fireworks on the beach.

I loved that Shelly’s two daughters walked her down the aisle and Kevin’s daughter was his ‘best’ girl.  It was small and intimate and true to this sweet family.

Brianna and Andrew had a perfect June wedding and I was absolutely delighted to be a part of it!  Brianna is definitely a girl after my own heart, with a penchant for pink, glammed-up shoes and anything fabulous.  I recently read a Tweet from another wedding professional (and if I could remember from whom it was from I would certainly give credit) that said you could tell a lot about a girl from the wedding dress she chooses.  I find this to definitely be true, and Brianna chose a dress that was absolutely true to her and her style.  I loved the fit, the luxurious fabric and my favorite part..the lovely bow on the back.  Their color scheme of pinks, corals and golds proved also to be perfect…the flowers at the reception were some of the prettiest I’ve seen.

This seriously cute couple beamed at each other all day…and their love and graciousness extended to their friends and family. Brianna and Andrew - I wish you nothing but happiness in your lives together.  Thank you again for allowing me to document your day!

Amanda and George’s wedding day was one I could shoot over and over again…a great couple, pretty details and a wedding party that was game for anything and had me laughing all day long.  I adored the green and gold color scheme…the bridesmaids wore bright green shoes and the groomsmen with their bright green ties!  Even though the day was ridiculously hot a little warm, we walked around both downtown Plymouth and downtown Detroit, celebrating Amanda and George being husband and wife, and their closest friends and the bond they all share.  After pictures, Amanda and George were able to be part of their outdoor cocktail hour by the river, and the tented reception on the grounds of the Omni was as fun as could be.  Amanda and George - you two are the sweetest and I consider it a great honor that you chose me to capture your wedding day. Amanda’s friends brought their pup after the wedding for a few pics with their snuggly little Boston Terrior.  I’m a big fan of dogs on a wedding day!

Congratulations to Bri and Andrew…a truly amazing couple who were married yesterday in Farmington Hills, MI.  I can’t wait to feature their beautiful wedding in the coming weeks!
