Gracie and Morgan have been friends since they have been pups.  11 years later they are still best friends, as are their sweet owners, Andrea and Michelle.

Andrea first contacted me with a rather unusual request…she and her friend Michelle wanted to capture their dogs in a photo shoot…to capture their personality, their playfulness, their sweetness.  She felt that neither were sure how much longer they would be in their lives and wanted to capture it in a session. I was immediately on board, being an avid dog-lover myself.  Plus…what’s more fun than having pictures with your friends?! I am tempted to gather my girlfriends together and hire a photographer to capture all of us having fun…just because! Photo sessions do not have to fall in a specific category, to be loved and treasured for a lifetime.  I adored playing with Gracie and Morgan…learning that these labs have not lost any of their playfulness or spunk through the years.  I think I was more tired than them after the session! They ran, played, rolled and howled. I left feeling happy.

Meet Little and Cooper. They had their very own ‘This Little Dog’ session this past week and although it was hot hot weather, they rocked it out like true super models.

Their owners won a gift certificate at this year’s 7th Annual Capital Area Humane Society ‘Fur Ball’ and I was so excited to have the opportunity to photograph this adorable duo!  Little was ‘mr. personality’…Cooper more laid-back and a little timid. Both got equal love and ear scratches from me during their session.

All of these dog sessions have made me a very happy photographer lately!

Meet Kiara and Baloo, the playful and beautiful Grand Pyrenees puppies owned by my friend Angie and her family.  When Angie rescued these two in the late fall, they were small(ish) white balls of fur.  Today, at six months, they are over 60 pounds!  But they are as sweet as can be and perfect pups to cuddle with.  Thank you Angie for letting me photograph them!

The above picture is Kiara, the smaller of the two.  Below is Baloo…and I believe he has about 20 pounds on his sister.  At six months old, they still have a lot of growing ahead of them!

Meet Daphne…the sweetest little 5 month old pup!  Stephanie, one of my super sweet brides from last year, contacted me a few weeks ago, excited to have their new puppy photographed.  They were up visiting for the Easter weekend and it was the perfect opportunity to show off their fabulous new addition.

Daphne may have spoiled me for future  ‘This Little Dog’ sessions…she was SO good!  She sat perfectly and waited for her picture to be taken…rewarded regularly with yummy treats.

Stephanie and Michael - you can bring Daphne to visit anytime you’d like!  Enjoy the pictures. It was so lovely to see you both again!

I love puppy feet!

Meet the adorable Puggle (a pug/beagle mix for those who don’t know) Chailin…the winner of the ‘This Little Dog’ contest I ran a few weeks ago!

I have eagerly awaiting this session and Chailin did not disappoint.  She came bounding into the studio with her owners Bailey and Kevin and with the encouragement of kisses and treats, posed perfectly for her shoot.  At the end I rewarded her by giving her lots of love back….I love my job!

When Bailey walked in carrying this adorable personalized bucket for Chailin, I had to know where it came from.  She sells them!  Such a cute idea (and one my own pup Tanner must have)
