The first time I met Alex was two years ago at his older brother’s senior session.  Now it was his turn in front of the camera! I love seeing clients again and getting to know Alex, learning his similarities and differences with his brother was so fun as we wondered some of my favorite little spots in downtown Grand Rapids.

If you were to ask me to hand-pick my perfect photo shoot, I would ask for an antique pink couch in a field, a fabulous vintage truck, a super sweet subject and to throw in some animals.

Needless to say, I adored EVERYthing about Aimee’s senior session!  Aimee is not only absolutely gorgeous, but sweet, kind and ambitious.  She is a senior at Hamilton High School and lives on a beautiful family farm.  When we chatted about her session beforehand, her mom mentioned she shows and raises pigs and might want them in her session. YES and YES! So last week, on one a perfect summer night, we enjoyed the perfect late-day light and rocked out an amazing shoot.  I loved Aimee’s vision for her session and was excited to be able to bring it together with her!

Logan is going to be a senior at Zeeland West and a thriving tennis player.  His one request for his session…that we end on the courts.  He even invited a friend to play against him for some action shots.  Back in the day I, too, played tennis so I loved everything about this shoot!

Meet Loren, an incredibly sweet, beautiful and fabulous soon-to-be senior at Allegan High School.  And my first senior rep for the season!

This girl completely rocked this session, not only looking seriously fierce, but bringing with her an entourage of her makeup artist Patti, her amazing grandmother and her neighbor and friend Dee.

With prom right around the corner, we also couldn’t resist rocking that gorgeous gown! Love!

4 years? Really?

I took Eli’s pictures when he was born.  Premature, tiny, adorable.  Almost 4 years later, back in front of my camera, he smiled, showed me where his teeth used to be, and is still completely adorable.

I am honored that I have had the opportunity to document each milestone of his life.  It is an enormous compliment and makes me treasure my job even more.

I know that his mom Lisa has been dying a little each day that went by since their session, patiently waiting for their blog post ;).  This has been one of my busiest seasons ever and if there were a cloning machine nearby I would clone 5 more of me.   I hope the wait was worth it!
