Two years ago I met Samantha and her mom at City Beach in Grand Haven for Sam’s senior pictures.  Two years later, I got to meet Kasey and her mom (and dad!) at City Beach in Grand Haven for her senior pictures.  This time, minus the crazy storm we encountered at Sam’s shoot!

Kasey is a tennis player, hopes to go to Central for college and has the best smile!

Tori is a bright, bubbly, talented senior attending West Ottawa High School.  She and her friend Jasmine met me at the studio earlier this week to rock her senior session. She came loaded with cute clothes and shoes and a very fabulous and definite style.

Tori - I loved meeting you! I hope you have a very fabulous senior year!

I am so not kidding when I tell you that senior sessions are one of my favorite types of sessions to shoot!  And working with this handsome senior was certainly no exception.

Brett arrived with mom, sister, and guitar in tow, and we headed to some favorite downtown spots.  Self-admittedly he was a little nervous in the beginning of our shoot, but towards the end he was posing himself and totally rocking it out.

Monday night I met the beautiful and talented Catherine…a senior at Calvin Christian.  She’s a basketball player, a younger sister, and a beautiful and ambitious girl.

As we walked around some of my favorite downtown areas shooting, we were serenaded with some rockin’ music from a local band practice…a perfect session!

Karrie and Rob’s wedding was everything I knew it was going to be…fun and filled with personality!  I love this couple and from the time I shot their engagement session last fall, I knew I was going to enjoy shooting their wedding.  The ceremony was held at Kuyper College’s Chapel and the reception at St. George’s in downtown Grand Rapids.  Between the ceremony and reception we hit up some of my favorite shooting spots in the downtown area.

One of my favorite moments of the day is when the groom sees his bride for the first time.  One of my other favorites is when the dad sees his daughter as a bride for the first time.

Karrie was a gorgeous bride!!  Love love love her green eyes!

Oh silly boys…

My second-shooter for the day:  The super cute and super fab Jamie of Color Splash Studios (and the designer of my lovely blog!)  I had such a fun time working with this girl!  I was also grateful for a similar shoe size when after I snapped my heel during the ceremony (maybe that will teach me to wear flats when I shoot) she gave me a cute pair to wear for the rest of the day.  Thanks again!!
