I was so excited when Design Aglow contacted me to say they had chosen some of my pictures for their Insipre Me Cards - A Modern Posing Guide for Wedding Parties!  I have long been a fan of Design Aglow’s templates and marketing tools and is an invaluable inspiration site for photographers and designers alike.

This guide is absolutely perfect for us wedding photographers who could use a little inspiration once in a while. Sometimes big groups can leave us going back to our old line-ups and after looking through this guide, I am already ridiculously inspired!

The pretty wedding party with the parasols in the images above is from Cimberly and Chris’s amazing Mackinaw Island wedding last summer.  It also features some of my other past weddings, which I would love to share but I’m afraid you’ll have to get your own copy ;)  To my brides and grooms that were featured, a little treat is on it’s way to them!

It is always exciting when a publication contacts me to feature a lovely wedding from one of my amazing clients.  It is also pretty exciting for my clients to see their wedding in print!  Lisa and Greg have been featured not only in this issue, but also in the last issue of The Knot Michigan.  Their wedding last August was filled with beautiful details and it’s no wonder that The Knot thought other brides would be inspired by their creative goodness!

A few months ago I had the honor to work with the fabulous team behind EightWest for their pajama party held at Art Van.  When they asked if I would like to photograph and participate in the EightWest Wedding Party I couldn’t say yes fast enough!

While I don’t often participate in wedding shows, I did know I wanted a very fabulously-designed space to showcase some of my work for the evening. I immediately enlisted my friend and fellow wedding professional, Dee of Element of Elegance.  We pulled together antiques, pictures and Dee designed floral to pull it all together.

The evening was filled with amazing area vendors, dancing, a fashion show, and of course hosting the evening was the beautiful and talented hosts of EightWest, Terri DeBoer and Rachael Ruiz.  I was there snapping ‘engagement pictures’ of those who attended and enjoying the festive atmosphere.  Thanks to all those who attended and from what I hear, this is going to now be an annual event!
