All of these amazing engagement sessions lately are making me so excited for this coming wedding season!

I met Kelly and Matt this past weekend in their hometown of Chicago for their engagement session.  Upon meeting Kelly, I knew right away that this session was going to be all kinds of fabulous.  We walked around the eclectic streets of Old Town, taking in all it had to offer with it’s colorful doors, stoops and streets.

I must say, for as much as I dislike the cold of winter, I sure have been enjoying my sessions these past few months!

This session was so hot that I don’t think any of us realized that it was bitterly cold in Chicago that day. Normally I’m not a fan of shooting in super cold temps but it was honestly one of those sessions that I could have shot all day long!  Nicole and Jonathan so comfortable and sweet together that it was truly pleasure working with these two.  I know their wedding this summer is going to be equally as fabulous!

Do you know what I love about shooting in Chicago?  In about a 5 minutes cab ride, we can be from grungy urban goodness to the lake and iced-over waters of Lake Michigan.

Liz and Matt are one of those couples who are quick to laugh, full of life, and completely in love.

Liz, who was hoping for a snow-filled engagement session, got just that. With freshly-fallen snow we took full advantage of the loveliness surrounding us. After a session so full of love and happiness, I am even more excited for their wedding this summer!

Downtown Chicago

Almost three years ago, I met Teri when she stood in her friend Nichole’s wedding.  Next October, her and Adam will be married at the beautiful Blue Dress Barn and I couldn’t be more excited!

I met up with Teri and Adam in downtown Chicago on a chilly Saturday afternoon for their session and we walked around the city laughing, trying to stay warm, and enjoying the afternoon.  I loved hearing about all of the details of their wedding next fall and know it is going to be oh so fabulous!

Nothing will get you into the holiday spirit like laying in a bed of fragrant pine branches!

As we were shooting in the median of Michigan Ave., we saw the Santa-dressed participants of SantaCon pass by and had one cherry Mrs. Claus run up to prompt the couple to smooch under the mistletoe.

Kalamazoo, MI

Cheryl and James are planning a summer wedding next year and I couldn’t be more excited to have the opportunity to work with this fabulously chill couple.

We met up in Kalamazoo earlier this week, enjoying the downtown area and capturing these two with their dog Cody (love love love sessions with dogs!).  Cheryl herself works in the wedding biz running a Shutterbooth out of Chicago and we enjoyed sharing our wedding stories and experiences!
