Oh sweet little baby Faith…how is it that it’s been a whole year since you’ve entered our lives?

One year ago this month I sat at the hospital eagerly awaiting one of my oldest and dearest friend’s first born to arrive.  It was 5 weeks earlier than her due date but she was eager to make her presence known in this world. As excited as all of us were to meet this little bundle of sweetness, Faith came into the world with a checklist of obstacles she would need to overcome.  Her first two months were spent at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, seeing various specialists and undergoing more surgeries than most people will ever have to endure in their lifetime.  In her first year of life she had 10 total in fact. And through it all she smiles, laughs and continues to show her specialists that she is bound and determined to exceed everyones expectations. Michele and Steve have learned what true patience is.  I have learned that I have a very strong friend and could not admire her more for the grace and persistence that she has shown through this past year. It was a great honor to document this milestone in Faith’s life.  I love you sweet little Faithers!
