Rebecca+Matt [Wedding Preview] August 4, 2010

I have long been a fan of Northern Michigan weddings…and weddings on Mackinac Island probably rate the highest in my book! Rebecca and Matt chose the island for their destination wedding getaway on the pretty grounds of The Inn at Stonecliffe (brides-to-be still looking for their perfect venue…I highly highly recommend Stonecliffe!). Despite rain-threatening skies and a little delay in starting the ceremony due to a few sprinkles, the day was as perfect as they get. Rebecca and Matt added so many personal touches to their day to make their day and never have I seen a bride as happy and glowing as this one!
The ceremony was held on the grounds in a little tucked away area called the Grotto. As Rebecca’s dad walked her through the wooded pathway to the ceremony site and hearing the music play, I don’t believe I’ve been witness to a more enchanted ceremony!
The reception was an open-air tent filled with pretty pink and white details and despite the dreary skies at the beginning of the day, the clouds cleared and ended the day with a perfect sunset.
A few fun facts…Rebecca and Matt were engaged last year on Mackinac Island. This was also most of their friends and families first visit to the island! Rebecca and Matt and most of their family and friends live in Kentucky so this was a true destination for them.

Oh my gosh, Amy! Love, love, love these photos! I think my fav is when the bride is grabbing her mom’s (?) hand as they walk back down the isle married. Awe! They couldn’t look more in love, either. So sweet!

What a gorgeous wedding and what an adorable couple! Great job Amy!
What a sweet, beautiful couple and magical, storybook wedding!! And yes, that was the bride’s mother reaching out to her.
