I’m a firm believer of giving back…whether it’s with our talents or our time. When a childhood friend posted on Facebook a few months ago that she was looking for a photographer to take a few pictures of her husband’s band, I quickly volunteered, excited to help out.

Last week we finally had a chance to coordinate everyone’s schedules and come together for a quick session.  This band is ridiculously talented…and hearing them play a few months ago was inspiring.  They came together and formed ‘Awaken’ to inspire others and play at area churches.

And the below picture has absolutely nothing to do with the band, but are my friend Lesley’s little ones who were there during the shoot. I had to grab a few pictures of them and this one made me laugh out loud.  Lesley and James’ family is growing quickly…they are due with twin girls this fall!
