Documenting Cardale’s Forever Day April 26, 2010

I consider photographing a wedding a pretty big honor. It’s a day that will be remembered for the rest of my couple’s lives, remembering the emotions, the details, the love they shared together. That day.
Last week I had the privilege of documenting an adoption hearing, Cardale’s ‘Forever Day’, so that Jennifer, Ryan, their families and friends and especially Cardale, could remember the love and the happiness and the blessing of accepting this little one into their lives.
I first learned about Cardale possibly coming into this family’s life about a year ago. I prayed for them and celebrated when they brought him home to foster and hopefully, someday, be able to adopt him as their son. Last fall I did a session with this beautiful family and last week helped welcome Cardale officially into their lives, surrounded by those that care for him most. It was a day of celebration, tears and laughter.
Cardale - You are loved.

City of Holland, I super promise that not one tulip was harmed in the above pictures.
