Jan + Dan : : Preview Gallery June 19, 2009

I truly can’t tell you how much I enjoyed photographing Jan and Dan’s wedding last week Friday. The details, the setting, the couple, and on and on an on, were just so lovely.
Jan and Dan, as I mentioned in their sneak-peak post last week, have had a whirlwind past few months. Jan especially, had been stressed with all of the final details, plans to move, etc. But on the day of the wedding, these two totally enjoyed all the hard work they put into their day.
I loved shooting at Little Point Sable Stone Church with their friend Captain Harry officiating the ceremony and the fabulous outdoor, tented reception. I also had the pleasure of having Sam of ShutterSam Photography along as my second-shooter! Dee from Element of Elegance rocked it out with some uuber-fabulous floral designs, and Aletha and intern Tara put all their hard work and talent into making it run smoothly and look amazing.

The view…beautiful!

The first, first look

Who is that in the background helping Jan on with her dress??

The second first look

Loved the bouquet of Hosta leaves and Peonies that Dee designed!

Shutter Sam!

Before the guests were seated for the ceremony, everyone, including the bride and groom, just milled around outside and chatted. No pretense, just everyone enjoying each other’s company.

As the ceremony started, officiant Captain Harry asked that everyone turn around and introduce themselves to one another. I loved this element of the ceremony!

Captain Harry!

This was one of the tastiest cakes I had all season…a vegan cake from Morat’s
