I Need Your Help + A Contest! June 12, 2009
So last night I had the most Amazing Trash the Dress session with Bree and Brad, a couple I absolutely adore! We hit up some fabulous new spots I recently scouted out and had an all around super fun time.
Here is where I need your help…I am feeling like the term ‘Trash the Dress’ is not exactly how I want to convey this type of session. The term became popular a few years ago, but the goal of the session isn’t to literally ‘trash’ a bride’s lovely wedding dress, but instead to get some amazing images in interesting locations. And ok…because most girls want to wear their wedding dresses one last time! So I want to rename these types of sessions so that mothers and grandmothers of brides don’t have panic attacks at the thought of a dress literally being destroyed.
Help me rename this type of session and in it for the winner is their choice of a $50 gift certificate from Amy Carroll Photography or a $25 iTunes gift card. Submit your idea in the comment section 
Also, the above picture is from last night, but because I am headed into another double wedding weekend, the full preview will sadly have to wait till next week. This may have been one of my favorite sessions to date!

Wedding ReDo?? We ended up with very few shots from our wedding day that I really love (hindsight is 20/20!!) and I SOooo plan to have a “do over” session someday. Maybe we’ll be back in MI by our 5th anniversary and will be lucky enough to have you shoot it for us!!
I’d go with “rock the frock”!
I’ve heard some people call them “Dress in Unusual Places” sessions. It sounds like a better description of what really happens in these sessions.
