Through My Lens : : Spring Textures April 7, 2009
Years ago when I started my blog, I did a ‘Picture of the Day’ blog. So every single day I would challenge myself to take a picture of something new and push myself to be creative. Then I got busy…really busy…and it got too hard to manage posting daily while keeping my business running smoothly. And I also started dreading sitting down every single night and trying to keep my posts interesting! After a while, it turned into me taking a lot of pictures of my chihuahua Tanner, because he was likely the most interesting thing in front of me.
While I don’t think I can commit to a picture, every.single.day, I do think I want to bring more personal projects back into my blog and post them more frequently. That seems like a happy medium…especially to those blog followers who have said they miss this aspect of my work!
So here you go…some lovely spring textures taken while walking through my parent’s woods with them this past weekend. It was great to spend time with them…walking through the pathways and seeing signs of spring popping up from the forest floor. Even despite the rather chilly temperatures this past weekend. I hope you enjoy them and that it keeps you encouraged that spring really is on its way!

Hi Amy! These images are refreshing especially after my frigid walk I just took downtown to get to Ritz Koney for lunch! I just hope this ridiculous cold doesn’t kill the little green we have ! I just moved to the area and discovered your blog so I wanted to say hello…so “Hello”
Very nice. Love the nature shots. So refreshing.
So glad to see you are back on the “almost photo of the day path”, I can only imagine how hard it is just to pick a few! You do such nice work! Did you wear heels on the walk????
Just kidding!
So great to see your personal work again! Such beautiful shots. Keep em coming! Even if they are of your dog.
