Engagement sessions are one of my absolute favorite types of sessions to shoot.  It’s even more fun when I get to photograph my friend’s engagement sessions!

Earlier this week my friend Michele and I (also getting married this year…yay!) hit the road and headed out to Pennsylvania to visit our friend Julie.  Julie and her fiance’ Dan are getting married in September and not only did I want to visit them, but they needed their engagement pictures taken!

We started off at their future house together, goofing around and letting Dan show off his mad wood-chopping skills to his future bride.  The hat makes the shot!

Girls, if you wear cute shoes, you better believe they are showing up on the blog!

I knew it was going to be a great session when Dan scooped Julie up to carry her across the muddy yard so she wouldn’t ruin her fabulous red shoes.  They were creating cute pictures before we even started and without prompting. Awesome!

Pretty Julie!  This girl and I go back to being friends from junior high. I am so excited she’s getting married!!

I had a few helpers for the shoot.  Dan’s dog Buster, whom I already miss!

We drove around the area scouting some fun locations.  A red, white and blue abandoned house? Awesome!
